- Rahul Malhotra, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I. is a board certified physician with more than 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine with expertise in advanced/complex coronary intervention, carotid artery, deep vein thrombosis management, peripheral vascular intervention, and treatment of varicose veins. In addition, Dr. Malhotra is one of the leading experts in trans-radial coronary angiography and intervention. Dr. Malhotra can typically perform the entire heart catheterization procedure (often including fixing a blocked artery) through a small incision made in the wrist, which allows the patient to recover faster. Dr. Malhotra fully explains patients' conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan.
Dr. Malhotra has published numerous articles and abstracts on cardiovascular disease management including the American Journal of Cardiology. He has been, and continues to be extensively involved in ground-breaking clinical research and numerous clinical trials. Dr. Malhotra strives to do the best for all his patients and excels in new techniques to improve patient outcomes and comfort.
He is proud to have founded a 50-bed heart hospital in New Delhi, India, which serves as a center of excellence for cardiovascular care in Northern India. Dr. Malhotra practices by the "Golden Rule," treating each patient as he would want to be treated. Dr. Malhotra did his fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Brown University Integrated Hospitals, Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his internship and residence in internal medicine at State University of New York. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He is a graduate from Fordham University in Bronx, New York.
