- Dr. Raghu Upender is an Associate Professor and Medical Director of Vanderbilt Sleep Disorders Center. He has over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of sleep medicine and fatigue management. His current research focuses on improving health outcomes through treatment of sleep disorder using novel telemedicine tools. He has been invited to speak on sleep and fatigue topics in a number of professional conferences. Dr. Upender graduated sum cum laude from University of Connecticut in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. He earned his medical degree from University of Connecticut in 1995. He received the Howard Hughes Medical Institutes Research Scholarship to conduct research at the NIH during medical school. He completed neurology residency and fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds certification in Neurology, Sleep Medicine, and Electromyography. He earned an Executive MBA degree from Vanderbilt Owen School of Business in 2016.
