Summary
- I am an interventional cardiologist and have been practicing more than two years . I moved to North Carolina from Yale University of Connecticut in New Haven where I have completed my interventional cardiology fellowship in 2014. My special interests are in chronic limb ischemia, varicose veins, deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism management.
I earned my medical degree from the Madurai Medical College, India. Then I completed my residency in internal medicine from National Health Services, UK and University of Arizona, Tucson. Further I did my cardiology fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center affiliated with UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
I am board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear medicine, vascular imaging and cardiac CT imaging. I have received many awards for excellence in cardiovascular research from, among others, the Johns Hopkins University, University of Arizona, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, Southern Medical Association and American Medical Association.
I am a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiologist, American society of echocardiography and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. I have served on many scientific journals as a reviewer and also in grant committees such as Wellcome Trust, UK. My research interests are wide and varied and I have served as an investigator for many clinical trials.
I have authored more than 50 publications including original articles, book chapters, reviews, and editorials, as well as many abstracts.
