Dr. Salas currently holds the positions of Assistant Medical Director and Director of Ambulatory Sleep Services at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Center for Sleep and Wellness.
For over a decade, Dr. Salas has served as the Director of the Neurology Clerkship, exemplifying her dedication to shaping the education and training of future medical professionals. In addition, she holds leadership positions in prominent organizations, including the Chair of the Undergraduate Education Subcommittee for the American Academy of Neurology and an executive member of the Alliance for Clinical Education. She has also made significant contributions to interprofessional education as the former director of Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice for the School of Medicine.
Beyond her institutional roles, Dr. Salas is an Academic Career Designer, spearheading initiatives to enhance medical education. She is the founder and Co-Director of the renowned Johns Hopkins Osler Apprenticeship Program, a medical education research program that caters to senior medical students. Furthermore, she established the Johns Hopkins PreDoc Program, a pipeline premedical college program that serves as a gateway for aspiring clinicians.
