- I am an inspirational academic physician executive. I hope I will have the honor and privilege to contribute to team building in your organization. I have over 38 years of experience in compassionate patient-centered care and inspirational servant-leadership in addition to in undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and professional education and health care service management. I have contributed to the education of staff, colleagues, undergraduate health professional students, medical students, MBA students, medical and ENT residents, pulmonary/critical care/geriatric fellows, academic physicians, and field-grade military officers. I am a Professor of Medicine in both Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine and Geriatric/Gerontology at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where the first lung and heart transplants were performed in America. While serving as VISN 12 Chief Medical Officer, I was not only in charge of all its medical education and research but also other allied health educational programs including social work internship, psychology internship/residency, podiatry residency, respiratory therapy undergraduate/graduate education, physical therapy undergraduate/graduate education, medical technology education and nursing education.
