Summary
- My name is Polina and I’m a Psychiatric Physician Associate based out of Miami, Florida. Here are a few of the things I believe in:
* Nurturing the profound connection between your unique mind, brain, body, and soul, as well as discovering the connections between ourselves and the larger universe, which leads to profound healing and the realization of your full potential
* Integrating traditional psychiatric treatments with evidence-informed complementary approaches and mindfulness/spirituality
* The necessity of the treating provider to establish a deep and meaningful connection with the patient.
I earned my Physician Associate degree from Arcadia University in Philadelphia and my undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University. I have 8 years of experience in mental health, including two years conducting neuroscience research at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University (see published articles below). My proficiency lies in both prescribing medications and providing supportive counseling/psychoeducation, with a particular focus on Bipolar Disorder, adult ADHD, anxiety, and depression. While I can prescribe medications that affect brain chemistry, I strongly believe in adopting a holistic approach and working from different angles: biohacking and healing the body, working on cognitive distortions and healing trauma, and connecting with your Higher Self (if you are ready for it, no pressure).
My communication style is noted for its clarity and candor. I value direct, clear dialogues to empower my patients to understand and overcome their challenges with reinforced confidence. Genuine care, real understanding, and straightforward conversations are the pillars of my practice, aiding individuals in navigating their mental health journey. I believe each individual is unique, and I aim to develop treatment plans that resonate with their needs. I am committed to creating personalized strategies that address each patient's mind, brain, body, and soul.
