He completed his residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Movement Disorders at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Columbia Campus. After being on the Neurology Faculty at Columbia University for 15 years, Dr. Mazzoni was on the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis for 6 years, and currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at The Ohio State University, a position he's held since 2022. He is also Co-Director of the Division of Movement Disorders at OSU. His research has been on motor control disruption in movement disorders.
