Summary
- Practiced Neuroradiology following my discharge from the Navy. As the practice changed I became an interventional radiologist for over 25 years. The last six years I mostly did Neuro and MSK MRI and CT. The final 3 years I started also doing cardiac MRI working with several cardiologists. After 37 years I retired and am now enjoying bicycle riding and learning things beyond medicine from The Great Courses lecture series. I am married to a radiologist, Sylvia Mir, MD, who was also a partner in our group first as an interventional radiologist and then director of mammography. She also is retired. We have two beautiful daughters: the older one received simultaneous MBA and Law degrees from SMU in Dallas; the younger one finished her residency in radiology and fellowship in mammography at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She is now an Asst. Prof. of Radiology at the Univ. of Oklahoma School of Medicine.
