Summary
- I am a board certified gastroenterologist specializing in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. I completed my gastroenterology training at UCLA and subsequently completed my advanced endoscopy fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
I specialize in advanced endoscopic resection techniques including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and currently practice at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. I received my ESD training at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where I became the first US fellow to be formally trained in the technique as part of a dedicated Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection fellowship program under the guidance of Dr. Christopher C. Thompson and renowned ESD master Dr. Hiroyuki Aihara (see: Ge PS, Thompson CC, Aihara H. "Development and Clinical Outcomes of an Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Fellowship Program: Early United States Experience." Surgical Endoscopy 2019). My professional and academic interest is in continuing to advance the realm of endoscopic resection.
