Dr. Philip Shain is a psychiatrist based in Concord, CA, with a subspecialty in child and adolescent psychiatry. He completed his residency in psychiatry from 1977 to 1981 at the University of Colorado, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from 1981 to 1983 at Yale-New Haven Medical Center. He graduated from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in 1977. He has directed inpatient child and adolescent units at Stanford, UC Davis, St Mary’s San Francisco and at residential programs in Oakland.
