Summary
- Dr. DiPasco is a Surgical Oncologist who focuses on the cancers of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, liver, pancreas, and endocrine systems. Upon completion of residency in General Surgery at KU Medical Center he completed a two year fellowship in Complex Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This specialty training provided a broad knowledge of the surgical management of a myriad of cancer diagnoses, and also included in-depth training in the realm of Surgical Endocrinology. At present, Endocrine Surgery (that of thyroid, parathyroids, and adrenal glands) comprises the bulk of his surgical practice by volume, and includes both malignant and benign diseases equally. The second largest component of his practice is focused upon the surgical management of gastrointestinal malignancies, particularly the pancreas, liver, stomach, and esophagus. The final component of the clinical practice focuses upon intra-abdominal sarcomas, namely the common retroperitoneal sarcoma diagnoses such as liposarcoma and leiomyosarcoma. Dr. DiPasco offers comprehensive endocrine oncology surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and multidisciplinary cancer care for patients conveniently located at both Mercy St. Louis and Mercy Hospital South campuses. Patients can generally be seen in clinic within one week of referral with surgery within three weeks.
