Dr. Pauline A Filipek is a child neurologist based in Houston, TX, with subspecialty expertise in neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorders. After earning her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1980, she completed residencies in pediatrics at UMass Chan Medical School and in child neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in MRI Morphometry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Most recently she has focused on developmental disability advocacy through the LoneStar Leadership Education in Autism and related Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program, for which she has served as Director since 2011. She has contributed to multiple publications and has been recognized by Castle Connolly as one of America's Top Doctors, Top Doctors in Southeast Texas, and Exceptional Women in Medicine for over 15 years.
