Summary
- I founded Simplicity Direct Care because I strongly believe the best long-term primary care is actually pretty simple and is founded on a longitudinal relationship between a patient and their healthcare provider.
After growing up watching my father as a family physician in a small, rural town, I went to school in Boston to obtain the very best clinical education I could to be able to offer exceptional care to patients—choosing a dual certification program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics that required an extra year of training to make sure that I learned all I could about taking care of patients.
I started my career as a physician joining my father's practice in a small town in Upstate New York. We knew our patients well, and, since it was our own practice, we decided how long each visit was and could take the time we needed to take care of each patient, depending on their needs.
I learned that the key to being able to help patients the most is taking the time to understand not only their health priorities and concerns but also the daily reality of their home and work lives.
After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2016 and working in other primary care settings, I have experienced firsthand that the quality of care I can provide is far better when I am able to take my time with each patient and be available to care for them when something comes up and they need health care.
I founded Simplicity Direct Care to offer this alternative to my South Hill community.
