Summary
- I am a Board Certified General Surgeon specializing in Acute Care Surgery and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction / Complex Ventral Hernia Repair.
We did the first case using Google Glass in the OR in the state of Indiana in Feb 2014.
We also did the first case combining a vetted Facebook page for the International Hernia Collaboration (with Brian Jacob, MD) and Google Glass for intra-operative real time global crowdsourcing and real-time POV mentoring.
We are currently developing a HIPAA Compliant fully secured platform for combined crowdsourcing and Telementoring. We recently performed the first live stream VR hernia surgery to Australia.
