Summary

• As a board certified Neurologist and Vascular (Stroke) Neurologist, I retired from Neurological Associates of St. Paul on 12/31/15 after 40+ years In General Neurology and Vascular (Stroke) Neurology.
  Since retirement, I professionally attend teach, attend and mentor United Family Residents, teach at the University of Minnesota Neurology Department, and organize a yearly neuro-update for the St. Joseph's Hospital/Bethesda Family Medicine Residency.
  In 2018 I published "A Migraine in Room 3, A Stroke in Room 4; A Physician Examines His Profession." While critiquing our healthcare system, the book is dedicated to my patients. It includes hundreds of their comments, quotes and vignettes. Since 2018, I have regularly led discussions at the Annual Meeting of Academy of Neurology on the book's themes, including "patient-centered care" and "mindfulness in the clinical practice of medicine."
  In 2021 I joined the U of Minnesota Medical School Admissions Committee and was privileged to give the Alumni Lecture in May 2022 to the graduating medical students.
  I am also on the Board of Directors of a nursing home chain in the Twin Cities, Sholom.
