- Paul Nghiem, MD, PhD, is a dermatologist based in Seattle, WA who serves as the Founding Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Washington. His education includes a residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a residency in Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Brigham and Women's Hospital, an A.B. in Biological Sciences from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Stanford University. Dr. Nghiem's expertise covers general dermatology, and treatment of Merkel cell carcinoma and melanoma. He has published extensively on these subjects. He leads an active translational research lab, is Founding Director of the Merkel Cell Carcinoma Collaborative (MC3) Institute, and leads multiple clinical trials for MCC.
