• Dr. Paul Beck is a General Surgeon, who returned to the North State to start a practice in 2012. Dr. Beck is a local product, born and raised right here in Redding, Ca. The son of a local California Highway Patrolman, Dr. Beck was born at Mercy Medical Center and graduated from Shasta High School. Paul obtained a Bachelor's degree from UC Davis, earned his medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University, and completed his surgical residency at the Guthrie Clinic. Paul has three children, who are now young adults. Two of his children are also in the armed services: Army National Guard and the Air Force.
  
  Dr. Beck offers a broad range of surgical procedures and is happy to review any referral. Gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, and the surgical treatment of colon cancer make up the bulk of his surgical practice, but Dr. Beck specializes in the surgical repair of all types of hernias. In all of Northern California, there is no other surgeon more experienced in da Vinci, robotic assisted surgery.
