Summary
- I am a board certified nephrologist and clinical investigator. My career goal is to improve the health and outcomes of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). My approach to achieving this goal is threefold: first, through providing direct care and thought leadership regarding the management of patients with advanced CKD, particularly among patients receiving dialysis as renal replacement therapy; second, by conducting clinical research into the risk factors, mechanisms and therapeutic solutions for the epidemic of sudden cardiac death and cardiovascular disease among chronic kidney disease patients; and finally, by teaching and training house staff and health care professions students in clinical medicine.
