- Dr. Pamela Valentino joined the team at Seattle Children's Hospital in 2022 to lead the Liver & Intestine Transplant as well as Hepatology and Intestinal Rehabilitation Programs, following training at transplant centers of excellence: Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children and Boston Children's Hospital, she practiced at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.
Dr. Valentino is devoted to the care of children with liver diseases and those who have received life-saving transplants. In addition to survival, Dr. Valentino strives to work with her patients and their families to optimize health as well as the quality of their lives overall.
Dr. Valentino’s academic interests include transplant outcomes research, with a specific focus on bile duct complications following liver transplantation. She is an active member within the Society of Pediatric Liver Transplantation (SPLIT), leading the SPLIT registry and the SPLIT research committees. The SPLIT registry is a research database including participation from greater than 50 pediatric transplant centers from around the world. Dr. Valentino is also a collaborator on studies of bile duct diseases such as primary sclerosing cholangitis and is a representative for The Childhood Liver Disease Research Network (ChiLDReN)
