Summary
- I am a medical student taking a research and service focused gap year between my third and fourth year of medical school. My research at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center is primarily focused on quality of life and characterization of cutaneous toxicities to cancer therapies. I have clinical interest in skin of color and the psychosocial affect of pigmentary disorders, particularly vitiligo, on people of color. At A Children's House for the Soul, I partake in activities and programming that support children and their families affected by chronic skin conditions. I primarily focus on implementing our novel school program designed to address skin health, sun protection, common skin conditions seen in the community, and how to build and act with compassion towards those with visible differences.
