Summary
- He is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of St. Paul’s School in Covington, Louisiana. He graduated summa cum laude from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.
Dr. Mogabgab completed his internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He then joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor of Medicine to continue research with the TIMI Study Group while working as a hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was also named a chief fellow.
After completing his training, Dr. Mogabgab returned to New Orleans to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and interventional cardiologist at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he cared for patients at Tulane Medical Center, University Medical Center, and the Southeast Louisiana VA Healthcare System.
Dr. Mogabgab is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, endovascular interventions and interventional cardiology. He is also board certified as a registered physician in vascular interpretation. He is a fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, and he is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Texas Medical Association, and the American College of Cardiology.
During his studies, he earned many honors, including the Outstanding Medical Student Award in both internal medicine and general surgery. He has also served as a reviewer for multiple medical journals and has contributed to numerous medical manuscripts throughout his career.
