- Omar Z. Yasin, MD, MS, is a board-certified Clinician Investigator with expertise in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Electrophysiology. He specializes in management of cardiac rhythm disorders, employing both medical and advanced procedural therapies, including ablation and cardiac device implantation, such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
Dr. Yasin obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Michigan. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at Mayo Clinic, where he was appointed as an assistant professor. He subsequently pursued a specialized fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at UCLA. He currently practices at Providence Medical Institute Torrance Cardiology and Vascular Center.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Yasin enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding, camping, and recreational off-roading
