- Dr. Mowzoon is a practicing Neurologist in Ft Myers, having trained at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He has subspecialty training in neuromuscular disorders, and founded the Lee Memorial Health Systems ALS Clinic, funded by ALS Association. He has joined Florida Neurology Group and has been with this institute since 2007. More recently, he has pursued his passion in cerebrovascular disease caring for patients who have suffered with stroke, and have taken on a Medical Directorship position at Lee Memorial Health Systems.
In 2013, Dr Mowzoon founded telemedicine Neurology company, Virtual Neurology, LLC (virtualneurology.com), and subsequently, a larger multi-specialty corporation, TeleSpecialists. The mission of this company is to provide remote physician consultation to areas of need of the expertise through state-of-the-art videoconferencing. The clients are US based rural, suburban, and urban hospitals, as well as the internationally.
