- Dr. Mallepally completed her undergraduate degree in economics at Texas A&M University and simultaneously obtained a masters in international economics/development from the Bush School of Government. She attended medical school at Emory University. Additionally, Dr. Mallepally pursued a master's degree in public health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, with a focus in health management. She returned to Texas to complete her internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and then completed gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Mallepally practices general gastroenterology with clinical expertise in colon cancer screening, esophageal and gastric disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, as well as various types of endoscopy including EGD, pH studies, and colonoscopy.
Dr. Mallepally is fluent in English, Spanish, and Telugu. She is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Southern California Society of Gastroenterology. She is board certified in internal medicine and is board eligible for gastroenterology.
