Summary

• Dr. Nidhi Shah is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Shah has a strong passion for education in medicine. Upon joining Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, she has taken the role of Clerkship Director for medical students from Ross University Medical Center and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also the rotation coordinator for physician assistant students from Mercy University. In addition, she has revived the Obstetrics Emergency Simulation Team as the Director of Simulation - providing hands-on teaching to nursing staff, residents, students and attendings with an interdisciplinary approach. She firmly believes that continued practice will reinforce knowledge across the entire multidisciplinary team, when taking care of high-risk obstetrical patients. Dr. Shah also has a strong passion for patient education and works with our Public Relations Department in creating informative videos for our obstetrical patients - Healthy Mother, Healthy Baby.
  
  Dr. Shah is originally from Queens, NY and is happy to serve her hometown and community. She practices general OB/GYN and has a special interest in treating high risk pregnancies, consulting adolescents and women with menstrual concerns, and performing minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. She continues to provide exceptional care to her patients and works towards improving women’s health.
