Summary

  • I am a psychiatrist based out of Santa Monica, though I currently provide telepsychiatry services throughout California and New York. I completed my psychiatric residency in Manhattan at NYU, where I worked with a wide variety of individuals in the bustling city. During my residency, I supplemented my psychotherapy practice with a psychoanalytic fellowship and also explored potential therapeutic applications of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy by participating in clinical research on psilocybin under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Ross.

I returned to California, pursuing subspecialty training in consultation-liaison psychiatry at UCLA. This subspecialty of psychiatry is also referred to as psychosomatic medicine, which literally translates to the mind and body, and focuses on the interface between psychiatry and other fields of medicine. Within this fellowship, I gained extensive experience in reproductive psychiatry and women's mental health, which is a large focus of my practice today. While I specialize in maternal mental health, I feel comfortable working with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

I have also recently teamed up with Dr. Michael Cooper to provide virtual ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

I use a collaborative approach with my patients, offering a combination of medication management and psychotherapy services. While using diagnostic criteria can be helpful in guiding treatment, I strive to understand how each individual experiences their symptoms and how symptoms can be influenced by a person's unique situation, relationships, medical history, and vice versa.
