- I am a board-certified internist who has recently started doing MAT (medication-assisted treatment) for opioid use disorder. I plan to sit for the boards in addiction medicine. I have also been board-certified in pediatrics and would like to recertify in that specialty at some point, though I have not actually practiced it for 4 years. We are currently exploring the possibility of adding primary care to our current operation.
