Summary
- I am an orthopedic surgeon that subspecializes in musculoskeletal oncology and complex limb reconstruction. I participate in the care of both pediatric and adult patients with any tumor (benign or malignant), tumor-like condition (e.g. infection, failed joint replacement, avascular necrosis, destructive arthritis, metabolic bone disease), or complex injury involving the musculoskeletal system requiring reconstruction. I operate virtually anywhere below the mandible and specialize in the surgical removal of these conditions, the reconstruction of the surgical and anatomical defects created in the process, and the long-term follow-up care of patients afflicted by one of these conditions.
I am currently the associate program director of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center’s orthopedic surgery residency program. I highly value training the next generation of surgeons that will someday operate on me. I participate in clinical research and quality improvement projects within the Good Samaritan system as well as nationally through the Musculoskeletal Oncology Research Initiative (MORI). I am an active member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). I am national faculty with the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) and clinical faculty for Pacific Northwest University. I am board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) and an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO). Finally, I do participate upon request as an expert witness for both plaintiff and defendant for orthopedic oncology, complex orthopedic infection, and complex orthopedic reconstructive case litigation.
