Summary
- I am a former assistant professor of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and past president of the American Academy of Pain Management. I have published four books, 34 medical textbook chapters and 75 articles, mostly on chronic pain diagnosis and treatment. I have testified before the US Senate on medical issues on three occasions, and lectured at over 60 medical schools and hospitals in 10 countries. My colleagues and I at Johns Hopkins Hospital have published articles showing that 40%-80% of chronic pain patients are misdiagnosed, so we developed a diagnostic paradigm, which is available over the Internet at www.PainValidityTest.com or www.DiagnoseMyPains.com, When completed, it gives diagnoses with a 96% correlation with diagnoses of Johns Hopkins Hospital physicians. The tests are widely used. Colleagues may email me at Docnelse@aol.com, and I shall send them information on how to access the tests for a free trial.
