Summary
- I am a laboratory hematologist focusing on transfusion medicine and supportive care for patients undergoing stem cell and solid organ transplants. Our group has pioneered clinical outcomes studies in transfusion therapy, and contributed to discoveries that transfusions are being overutilized, are less efficacious and much more toxic than appreciated. My continuing laboratory research interests are in transfusion and platelet immunology/biology.
