Summary
- Neal P. Dunn, MD, FACS is the founding Chairman of Summit Bank, a rapidly growing 5 star bank headquartered in Panama City with branches throughout Northwest Florida. He was also the founding president of the Advanced Urology Institute, a 45 physician practice with over 400 employees & offices across North Florida.
He received his BS from Washington & Lee Univ. & his MD from George Washington Univ. His Urology Residency was at Walter Reed Army Medical Center & he served as a Urologist in the US Army for 11 years before moving to Florida.
He founded Panama City Urology & the Bay Regional Cancer Center & has a subspecialty interest in advanced prostate cancer. He sits on the Governor's Prostate Cancer Advisory Council & also serves on the Florida Blue Physician Advisory Board. In 2014 he was appointed to the Board of Space Florida which manages the state's growing assets of space launch, manufacture, and assembly facilities. Space Florida is now the busiest space launch facility in the world. He is also on the Board of Directors of Enterprise Florida, a public private collaborative group that oversees some $200 million in economic development grants and conduit financing annually.
He served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Association for 17 years and was the Chairman of the Florida Medical Association's very successful Council on Legislation. He has served as President of his County Medical Society, Chief of Staff of Gulf Coast Hospital and Director of the Bay Medical Center Sacred Heart Joint Venture. He is active in many philanthropies including serving as Chair of the Bay Cares program, a charity that provides $35 million of free specialty care annually to indigents (operational overhead of < 0.5%).
