He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine Science and has been in practice 38 years. Dr. Zasler is fellowship trained in brain injury rehabilitation and subspecialty board certified in brain injury medicine. He specializes in brain injury neurorehabilitation and is experienced in assessment and management of post-concussive disorders, cranial trauma and whiplash injuries. He also has a strong clinical and research interest in disorders of consciousness. He has published over 200 peer reviewed articles with over 6,000 citings and coauthored or authored over 60 book chapters. He is chief editor of two peer reviewed scientific journals, Brain Injury and NeuroRehabilitation. He lectures and consults internationally in areas related to brain injury medicine, neurorehabilitation and neurotechnology.
