Summary
- Clinical Science (Development) Leader overseeing the clinical development plan and its execution in first-in-human Phase 1-3 and post-approval clinical trials involving new molecular entities, devices, and novel surgical approaches. I bring my clinical and surgical expertise to clinical trial programs as a practicing retina specialist, Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford University Byers Eye Institute. My work leverages my Master's in Health Research and Epidemiology and collaborations across the healthcare ecosystem. In my role, I ensure all the proper systems and teams are in place for a molecular/surgery/device to be evaluated for its potential to make a meaningful difference to patients. When a medication or surgery demonstrates benefit, I work with health authorities, the healthcare community, patients, and payers/access/commercial groups to bring that therapy to patients as soon as possible and in this regard, I have played key roles in approved therapeutics. My passion is improving patients' lives. My mission is to improve the health and well-being of the population.
