He has been the lead expert witness and testified in product liability and toxic tort exposure cases, with expertise in benzene toxicity, manganese toxicity (welders), alcohol intoxication and pharmacokinetics (DUI, DWI, retrograde extrapolation), marijuana/cannabis/THC and drugs of abuse intoxication (cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, opioids/opiates, etc.), herbal/dietary/nutritional/food supplement toxicology, mold exposure, hip implant toxicity (metallosis), pesticides/herbicides/insecticides exposure, groundwater and drinking water contamination, California Proposition 65 (Prop 65), and exposures involving MTBE, gasoline, diesel exhaust, lead, chromium, cadmium, nickel, beryllium, mercury, arsenic, heavy metals, polychlorinated biphenyls, diacetyl, trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene/tetrachloroethylene, formaldehyde, asbestos, silica, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA, C8, Teflon), perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), 4-methylcyclohexanemethanol (MCHM), talcum powder (talc), EMF and radiation. Dr. Brautbar has testified on cases requiring future medical monitoring and cancer risk assessment. Dr. Brautbar has worked with both Plaintiff and Defense. Dr. Brautbar frequently serves as a consultant on national and international levels.
