- Nabil Shafi, MD is one of the most highly trained Cardiologists in the United States. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Ultrasound, Cardiac CT and Internal Medicine. Dr. Shafi trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He then underwent two years of Advanced Cardiac Imaging training in Cardiac MRI/CT at St. Francis Hospital-The Heart Center in Roslyn, NY and Echocardiography at VA Boston Healthcare System/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Shafi then moved to the west coast, completing a Cardiology fellowship at UCSF-Fresno. This was followed by a two year Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the UC Davis Medical Center. Dr. Shafi has performed Coronary, Structural and Peripheral Vascular Interventions with several leaders and innovators in the fields of Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Intervention.
Dr. Shafi's patient care philosophy is to provide state of the art Cardiovascular care in a personalized and compassionate manner. Dr. Shafi is skilled in performing minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of Coronary, Structural and Peripheral Arterial Disease.
In his free time, Dr. Shafi enjoys playing competitive tennis, traveling the world and spending time with friends and family.
