Summary
- Dr. Jain decided to become a cardiologist during his medical training when he saw too many patients suffering from heart disease. He immediately knew he wanted to help people achieve a better quality of life and greater longevity through excellent heart care, so he set out to get the best training to do so. Now, he’s been a cardiologist for over 30 years and is well-respected in his community.
He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Northwestern University Hospital. Dr. Jain relishes the opportunity at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center to teach residents and fellows about treating patients with humanity and respect, including carefully listening to their concerns, answering all their questions and helping them fully understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.
Dr. Jain has built his practice around the well-being and convenience of his patients. He and his staff perform a uniquely comprehensive evaluation of every new patient. Physical exams, blood work, echocardiograms and other basic tests are performed in the office so that patients can get their results, ask all their questions, and understand their diagnosis and treatment plan before they leave their first appointment. Many of his patients have been with him for decades, and really appreciate his skill, kindness, and attention to detail.
He not only encourages his patients to exercise regularly, he sets a great example with a love of outdoor sports. Early in the morning before office hours he can often be found on the golf links or tennis courts.
