- Dr. Qasim is currently a fellow in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine at University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Muhammad Qasim completed his undergraduate medical education at Dow University of Health Sciences and then went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital / University of South Florida. With a passion for providing the highest quality of patient care, Dr. Qasim has demonstrated proficiency in Open ICU management, Central Line Placements, Intubations, HD Catheters and Vent Management. In his role as Director of Hospital Medicine at Indiana University Health- South Central Region, he provided administrative support and was responsible for the management of a team of 32 Physicians and 8 APPs and developed organizational strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a commitment to ongoing professional development, Dr. Qasim has completed the Business of Medicine Leadership Program at Indiana University Kelly School and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Muhammad Qasim has published multiple articles and posters related to various medical topics such as cardiac lymphoma, aortic valve replacement, therapeutic hypothermia, closure of left atrial appendage peridevice leak, native mitral valve endocarditis, point of care ultrasound in chest pain management, systemic capillary leak syndrome, and death during exercise testing. These publications were presented at conferences such as the American College of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Research Technologies and the American College of Physicians.
