- Dr. Alwazeer has an immense passion for the management of patients with diabetes. His interest in diabetes care comes from his own experience caring for his younger brother with diabetes.
Dr. Alwazeer graduated from the University of Tishreen School of Medicine, Syria. To learn about the very best care for the patients with diabetes, he moved to the U.S. He finished his pediatric residency at The University of South Alabama. He received several awards as a resident, including The Best Continuity of Care Award and The Charles Jay Hoff Award for best research project by a pediatric resident.
Dr. Alwazeer received his training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, one of the top ten programs in the U.S. He was involved in several healthcare quality improvement and clinical research projects in type 1 diabetes.
Dr. Alwazeer believes in technology as an excellent tool, in addition to many others, to improve the diabetes care.
He is well trained in diabetes care, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, puberty, short stature, and other endocrine related disorders.
Dr. Alwazeer is Board Certified in General Pediatrics, and Board Eligible for Pediatric Endocrinology.
