Summary
- Last year, I happily decided to change my life and come to the United States. I am very comfortable with the fact that immigrating will mean starting again from square one, even though I was a General Surgeon in Iran for nearly 5 years. I am an easy going, hard working doctor who graciously adapts to different environments and enjoys learning new skills. I have always been completely supportive of patients before, during, and after surgery and plan to continue working in that manner. I have already passed the required USMLE exams and am interested in various roles, including (but not limited to) research positions or fellowships in general surgery fields. However, a residency in general surgery would also be a great fit for me because it would allow me to fully integrate myself into the U.S. medical world. I know I have a lot to learn about how things function here! No matter what, I would appreciate a strong mentor - I’m more than willing to do the hard work necessary to succeed. I hope my background and training will earn me your serious consideration.
