- Dr. Shqirat completed his medical diploma in Jerusalem before embarking on a journey through academia. Initially, he served as a tutor in the department of neuropathology. Later, he pursued advanced studies in Japan, focusing on the development of the murine brain. Following the successful attainment of his Ph.D. from Kyoto University, where he specialized in neural stem cells, he transitioned to SUNY Upstate. There, his residency in adult neurology. His research at SUNY Upstate centered on investigating Adeno-associated virus retinal treatments and modifying the matric biology of the blood-brain barrier.
