Dr. Mohammed Alam is located in Stony Brook, NY, and specializes in geriatrics with a focus on hospice and palliative medicine as well as dementia. He completed his medical education at Sir Salimullah Medical College in 1987, followed by an FCPS in Internal Medicine at Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons from 1989 to 1993. He undertook residency training in Internal Medicine from 1997 to 2000 at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in 2001. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at both Stony Brook University and the Long Island State Veterans Home since 2021. Dr. Alam is experienced in dementia and geriatrics.
