Dr. Mitra Afshari is a Neurologist based in Chicago, IL, specializing in Movement Disorders Neurology. She completed her medical degree at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and continued her residency in neurology at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. She further specialized with a fellowship in clinical Movement Disorders and deep brain stimulation at the University of California, San Francisco School (UCSF). Beyond her medical degree, Dr. Afshari completed a Master's degree in Public Health and a BS in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. Her work has been published on several occasions with focus areas on Parkinson's Disease. She also has extensive experience conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials and is an independent researcher with a focus on telerehabilitation and fall prevention for Parkinson’s Disease.
