Dr Silver is an interventional cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at Ohio Health and Vascular Physicians in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He specializes in managing the full spectrum of arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. He is the director of the Center for Critical Limb Care at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He has authored over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters. His basic science research interests are in the area of inflammation, atherosclerotic plaque progression, and venous thrombosis. In addition, he has an active role in the clinical research of venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolus, carotid stenting, and endovascular limb salvage. He is the Co-Principal investigator of CLEAR DVT, a multicenter international study on the management of acute deep venous thrombosis, and numerous other clinical studies in the field of venous thromboembolism. He is the Co-Principle investigator of the FLAME trial, a multicenter trial on the management of high risk massive PE.
