Summary

  • Rated a top pain-treatment physician, nationally. Actual work is Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, but that choice is not available for selection.

I'm an osteopathic physician who lives by OPP and desires to recapture, expand, and pass on to future generations of physicians those principles, thought processes, and practices which are being de-emphasized and lost, as their benefit to health, particularly in pain medicine, are essential to best serving our patients.

I have written several books for general audiences and prospective physicians introducing them to the concept of osteopathic medicine. My career book, in particular, has been very successful as evidenced by numerous pre-med students who have contacted me and reported that their choice to become DO's was primarily based upon their reading of that book.

I have lectured, demonstrated OMM, and taught OPP to a variety of audiences, locally and nationally, primarily to osteopathic medical students and allied medical professionals. I regularly have 2nd and 4th year osteopathic students in my clinic to observe, participate, and see in clinical practice these principle and OMM's impact on patients' health in a real-world setting. I truly love writing, lecturing and clinical teaching of OMM/OPP and am looking to move to a position - working for an institution or independently - where I can more extensively pursue those activities.
