Summary

• I am a fellowship trained board-certified sports medicine orthopedic surgeon. I am well-liked and a conscientious partner. My current practice is exclusively sports medicine: 50% shoulder, 30% knee, 15% hip, 5% elbow.
  
  I trained at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas (2007) in shoulder reconstructive surgery and sports medicine. I currently serve as director of medical services and the head team physician for the University of New Orleans, New Orleans Saints (2007-2017), New Orleans Pelicans (2007-2020), and 8 local high schools.
  
  I concentrate my active research interests in the areas of: biological augmentation to healing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine, shoulder biomechanics and the throwing athlete, the suprascapular nerve in the shoulder, cartilage healing and cellular migration during cartilage healing, and hip arthroscopy. I have frequently been asked to be a visiting professor or invited speaker for both national and international orthopedic sports medicine meetings.
