Summary
- I am a pediatric anesthesiologist with expertise in perioperative pain management and regional anesthesia. Most of my clinical time is spent in operating rooms, rounding on the floor, providing patient care, and teaching and supervising anesthesia student nurses, residents, and fellows.
I collaborate with various surgical services to implement new protocols for postoperative pain control. My research aims to develop new techniques for placing and using ultrasound-guided nerve blocks in children, infants, and neonates and compare them with established methods for pain control.
I am interested in clonidine as an adjunct for pediatric regional anesthesia. I participated in several funded prospective studies investigating various analgesics' safety and efficacy. I investigated postoperative pain control outcomes and pain perception in the teenager and transgender population. My goal is to improve pediatric perioperative pain management, the safety of pediatric regional anesthesia, and family satisfaction with pain control.
