Summary

  • Doctor of Medicine with a background in research, cardiology, and medical education. While he was coursing his medical school, based on his GPA, he was allowed to rotate at the most advanced cardiovascular center of his country, known as CEDIMAT, also at the University of Miami in Cardiothoracic and Heart Transplant as Colorectal Surgery. After he finished school, he rotated at Texas Heart Institute in Houston and the University of Virginia in the Department of Cardiology, including interventional and structural divisions. He has been involved in the cardiology field since 2011 and has been teaching in his alma mater since 2014. Posteriorly, Dr. Rodriguez completed the Internal Medicine residency program in New York. His experiences include active follow-up, treatment of patients, and participation in different types of procedures. During his career, he also had the pleasure to contribute as co-author in two cardiology books, including one about COVID-19, and coordinating several missions directed to the unprivileged population of the Dominican Republic as a coordinator of a cardiology foundation in my country of origin. He had multiple roles, including Assoc. Director of Hospital Medicine, and Site Director of Introduction to Clinical Medicine Program at Montefiore Mt. Vernon Hospital. Dr. Rodriguez-Guerra was part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Health System, covering medical wards and telemetry units as a faculty hospitalist in New York. Later, he joined Marshall University Health System academic hospitalist with the role of Assistant Professor of Medicine covering the medical, telemetry, and step down units.
