Summary
- I am a board-certified (AP/CP) and gastrointestinal (GI) pathology fellowship-trained pathologist. After I finished the AP/CP pathology residency training at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center (UMASS), I was the clinical GI/Liver fellow at MGH with privilege of independent sign-out. I was fortunate to work closely with world-renowned GI pathologists and directly involved in several research projects including the appendiceal goblet cell adenocarcinoma project recently published and adapted by the new 2019 GI WHO book. I started to work at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVM) after GI fellowship training, and I received the Medical Group Award for translational research. It was very exciting that this research led to the clinical translation of two biomarkers to aid the diagnosis of GI tract neuroendocrine tumor and pancreaticobiliary adenocarcinoma. My enthusiasm in resident teaching is evidenced by resident nomination for the teaching award at UVM. Due to family reason, I moved to UMASS in March 2018 and currently serve as the GI/Liver pathology Service Director and GI/Liver Pathology fellowship program director. I am also involved in the thoracic pathology and Quest general sign-out service at UMASS. I’m open to an exciting job opportunity for the further growth of my career. With my interpersonal skill and hard-working trait, I believe that I can fit into any group readily. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for additional information.
