Dr. Michael Robinson is a physician specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism with over 35 years of experience as a clinician and research clinical investigator. Dr. Robinson is a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Biological Sciences in Columbus, Ohio and received his M.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He did his medical internship at Ohio State University and a medical residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan following military service as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps. He later completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota where he was also a Mayo Foundation research fellow in bone and mineral metabolism. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Clinical Attending Physician at UCLA School of Medicine and has been a Director of community Diabetes and Osteoporosis programs in the Greater Los Angeles area. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association (ATA), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians (AAPP), and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Dr. Robinson has published in major medical peer reviewed journals, and is a Certified Physician Investigator (CPI) and Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is currently an attending staff physician at Marina Del Rey Hospital, Little Company of Mary Hospital, Torrance Memorial Hospital, and Centinela Hospital Medical Center. He is Director of the Marina Diabetes Center.
