Dr. Michael Okimura is an endocrinologist based in Sacramento, CA, with subspecialties in diabetes and lipid metabolism. He completed his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at University of California Davis Health in 1984, following a residency in internal medicine at the same institution. He graduated from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 1979. Dr. Okimura is a Clinical Professor at UC Davis Medical Center, a position he has held since 1984. He has experience in diabetes and has contributed to publications, including a study on a medically supervised weight management program and research on long-term intermittent intravenous insulin therapy for type 1 diabetes.
